Carle signs with Turkish club

Nick Carle did indeed sign a contract with a Turkish club, however it was not Fenerbahçe as was originally rumored.
Carle has signed with Gençlerbirliği who finished 6th last season. Not quite as good as Fenerbahçe however they have finished consistently in the top half of the table and played in the UEFA Cup.
Gençlerbirliği should give Carle a better chance of getting game time.
Australian media has been reporting that the transfer fee was about $650,000 but the club website seems to say that it was 1 million euros ($1,600,000).
